Restoring our nation’s beauty remains the driving passion of Her Excellency Prof. Gertrude Mutharika, Patron of the Beautify Malawi (BEAM) Trust. Time and again, Her Excellency has expressed deep concern over the suffering caused by preventable diseases like cholera. To combat this, BEAM continues to call on all Malawians to unite in support of its 2026–2030 Strategy, which focuses on improving national health, sanitation, and hygiene.

As part of these efforts, BEAM recently launched a strategic partnership with the Malawi Police Women Welfare.

Speaking during the launch, the First Lady highlighted the vital role police women play in national development. Beyond taking care of officers in uniform so they can safeguard the nation, these women work tirelessly to uplift their communities and nurture the next generation. Through this partnership, BEAM and the Police Women Welfare will drive sanitation and beautification initiatives across police units nationwide—working together toward the clean, beautiful Malawi we all envision.
